The Shasta Suicide Prevention Workgroup Meeting

The Meetings are being held virtually in accordance with health and safety guidelines. If you would like to attend please email Lindsay   

Our mission is to decrease suicide attempts and deaths in Shasta County through collaboration, advocacy, education, training and evaluation.

The Workgroup meets on the third Tuesday of every other month from 2:30 - 4PM.  This is an open meeting and all are welcome to attend.  Click here for more information on how to get involved with suicide prevention efforts in Shasta County!

The Stand Against Stigma Committee Meeting

The CARE Center - 1401 Gold St., Redding 1:30pm - 3:00pm. 

The Stand Against Stigma Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month, and works to promote mental wellness, increase community awareness of mental health and end the stigma surrounding mental illness and substance abuse.  The CEC also promotes the Stand Against Stigma campaign and plans mental health month events in May.

November is National Suicide Loss Survivor Month

Each year, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) offers a day of support for survivors of suicide loss, featuring an annually produced documentary about healing and hope.  This is a free event, and all are welcome to attend.
