The Shasta Suicide Prevention Collaborative Meeting 

Our mission is to decrease suicide attempts and deaths in Shasta County through collaboration, advocacy, education, training and evaluation.

The Collaborative meets bi-monthly on the third Thursday from 2:30 - 4PM.  This is an open meeting and all are welcome to attend.  Click here for more information on how to get involved with suicide prevention efforts in Shasta County!

The Stand Against Stigma Committee Meeting

The Stand Against Stigma Committee meets from 1:30 - 3PM on the second Tuesday every other month, and works to promote mental wellness, increase community awareness of mental health and end the stigma surrounding mental illness and substance abuse.  The committee helps brainstorm, guide and promote the activities of the Stand Against Stigma campaign and plan mental health events in May. November is National Suicide Loss Survivor Month

Each year, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) offers a day of support for survivors of suicide loss, featuring an annually produced documentary about healing and hope.  This is a free event, and all are welcome to attend.
