Current Situation:
-
We are sorry to report a death today. She was a woman in her 70s.
-
The best way to slow the emergence of new variants is to reduce the spread of infection. Stop the spread by taking measures to protect yourself, including getting a COVID-19 vaccine. We are in a race against time to increase vaccination coverage before new variants emerge.
-
When schools enforce universal masking or enough students are vaccinated, it’s reasonable to allow close contacts to stay in school, and when a student is vaccinated, it’s reasonable to not require quarantines or testing, based on current information. It saves time, money, unnecessary absences and allows for more participation in school, sports and extracurricular activities.
-
Our call center is experiencing a very high call volume. If you have been notified that you’ve tested positive or have been exposed to COVID-19, please follow these quarantine and isolation instructions.
If you’ve been exposed: Follow the isolation/quarantine instructions until you can be tested and receive test results.
If you need to be tested: Find options on the Get Tested page. Please note: Appointments are required at most places due to high demand.
If you need a vaccine: Find options at ShastaReady.org.
