Quarantine vs. isolation: Quarantine is for people who are not sick but may have been exposed to COVID-19. Isolation is for people who are already sick and/or tested positive for COVID-19. If you fit into either of these categories, check out these isolation/quarantine instructions.

Cases are rising among 12 and under population. In September, 366 kids under age 12 tested positive for COVID-19. For comparison, 242 kids under age 12 tested positive in August and only 23 kids under age 12 tested positive in July. In 2020, no children under 12 tested positive for COVID-19 in these months. Because this group cannot be vaccinated yet, it is especially important for them to wear masks and practice physical distancing in public spaces, and for those around them to be vaccinated.
If you’ve been exposed: Follow the isolation/quarantine instructions until you can be tested and receive test results.
If you need to be tested: Find options on the Get Tested page. Please note: Appointments are required at most places due to high demand.
If you need a vaccine: Find options at ShastaReady.org.
