- Gov. Gavin Newsom recently unveiled the state’s SMARTER Plan, the next phase of California’s pandemic response. The SMARTER Plan will guide California’s strategic approach to managing COVID-19 while moving the state’s recovery forward. Emphasizing continued readiness, awareness and flexibility, the Plan ensures California maintains its focus on disproportionately impacted communities while staying prepared to respond to emerging COVID-19 variants and changing conditions.
- This report includes a weekly update to Shasta County’s total case numbers. Investigations are conducted to verify that cases meet state reporting requirements. Duplicate, out-of-county, and probable cases are removed. Probable cases include people who tested positive on an antigen test and those with reported symptoms but no confirmed PCR test.
