Omicron is leading to a steep surge in cases and hospitalizations in Shasta County. To help slow the spread and protect yourself and others, upgrade your mask. Wear an N95, KF94 or KN95 if you can, especially in crowded public settings.

This report includes a weekly update to Shasta County’s total case numbers. Investigations are conducted to verify that cases meet state reporting requirements. Duplicate, out-of-county, and probable cases are removed. Probable cases include people who tested positive on an antigen test and those with reported symptoms but no confirmed PCR test.
