COVID-19 can be serious for children, too. Vaccines have been thoroughly tested and are safe and effective for kids 5 and older. Getting eligible children vaccinated against COVID-19 helps prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death.
This report includes a weekly update to Shasta County’s total case numbers. Investigations are conducted to verify that cases meet state reporting requirements. Duplicate, out-of-county, and probable cases are removed. Probable cases include people who tested positive on an antigen test and those with reported symptoms but no confirmed PCR test.
