We are sorry to report eight deaths today. They were two men in their 50s, three women in their 80s, one man in his 80s, and two women in their 90s. Please note, today is when these deaths were confirmed and may be days or weeks after the people died.

The Sikh Cultural and Education Center and Shasta County Citizens Advocating Respect will host a vaccine and booster clinic from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Cottonwood Community Center, 20595 Gas Point Road. Free testing kits, food and gift cards will be provided. All vaccine brands are available. Language services will be available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Spanish, Mien and Hmong.
