Current Situation:
- Even if you aren't required to wear a mask, you may decide that wearing one is the right decision for you. Questions that may help you decide whether to wear a mask include:
- What health risks do you and your family members have?
- Do you have young children in your household who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated?
- Are you fully vaccinated and boosted?
- How high is COVID-19 transmission in your community? Shasta County’s transmission rate is 171.0 per 100,000, which has been steadily dropping, but is still within the CDC’s “high transmission” level.
- This report includes a weekly update to Shasta County’s total case numbers. Investigations are conducted to verify that cases meet state reporting requirements. Duplicate, out-of-county, and probable cases are removed. Probable cases include people who tested positive on an antigen test and those with reported symptoms but no confirmed PCR test.
