Animal Regulations

Mission 

It is the mission of the Shasta County Animal Regulations Office to protect the public and animals of our community; to investigate, prevent and reduce cruelty, abuse, and neglect of animals in Shasta County through education, and by effectively and efficiently enforcing all state and county animal laws.

Services

The Shasta County Animal Regulations Office handles concerns regarding the following:

  • Stray animals
  • Suspected Cruelty, Abuse, and Neglect
  • Animal Bites
  • Injured or Diseased Animals
  • Dangerous or Vicious Dogs
  • Nuisance Barking
  • Kennel Inspections
  • Emergency Evacuation of Animals

For licensing, adoptions, unwanted pets, cat trap rentals, and spay/neuter vouchers please contact the Haven Humane Society at 241-2550/241-1653.
