"Choices of Life" Program

The Shasta County Juvenile Probation Department utilizes the Youth Peer Court System and mandates students attend the "Choices of Life" program, which the Coroner's Office offers.  The program is based on the consequences of what may happen with poor and wrong choices during adolescent years.  The program utilizes the Coroner's Office to demonstrate the untimely deaths that may occur as a result of these decisions.  The programs emphasizes driver safety, underage drinking, drugs, distracted driving, and a variety of other choices that may result in injury and/or death.  The program has been very successful and has received positive feedback from parents of graduates and others.
