Our mission is to assist in providing both the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military personnel and veterans through the art and sport of fly fishing.
Project Healing Waters –Shasta County is a free program providing wounded, injured and disabled veterans an opportunity to learn fly fishing. Attending veterans are afforded the opportunity to discover the wonders of fly fishing through fly-casting, fly tying, rod building, entomology, and fly-fishing clinics and trips. These clinics and classes are specifically tailored for wounded, injured, or disabled, current or ex-military personnel. The program is offered to assist in adapting skills to new abilities and to persons of all skill levels ranging from beginners, to those with prior fly fishing experience.
