Carr Fire HHSA News and Resources

Disaster CalFresh

Disaster CalFresh has just been approved for Shasta County. It’s a temporary food benefit for lower income people who lived or worked in areas affected by the Carr Fire. Households have a limited time to apply for Disaster CalFresh and can do so at two Shasta County offices.

WHERE:  Downtown Redding Center, 1220 Sacramento St. in Redding
                 Cascade Building, 2460 Breslauer Way in Redding

WHEN: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 to Saturday, August 25 and Monday, August 27 to Wednesday, Aug. 29

WHAT TO EXPECT: Staff will be accepting applications and conducting required face-to-face interviews with applicants.
