Published June 3, 2022

Another two Shasta County Covid deaths have been confirmed. They were a woman in her 60s and a man over age 89. 8 people are hospitalized with Covid and 4 are in the ICU. The transmission case rate has climbed to 92 per 100,000. However the test positivity rate is low at 2.9%. Shasta County Public Health now offers a “Test to Treat” program. With an appointment, people can visit the state testing site on Breslauer Way and get tested. If they test positive they can receive a prescription for treatment and have it filled all at the same site. Information is at shastaready.org.
