Weekly update shows 6 Covid-19 deaths, new case rate quadrupling over the past month 05/10/2022

COVID-19 cases are creeping up and more people are dying. Another 6 deaths by Covid have been reported for Shasta County in the past week. Ages ranged from 50s to 80s. An additional 86 cases were reported as well and 7 people are hospitalized. The case rate has crept back up to 48 per 100,000, meaning it’s quadrupled in a month. Everyone is urged to continue to protect our more medically vulnerable friends and family members from infection.
