When Crystal Johnson played house as a child, she'd pretend to "cut lines" because that's what she saw the adults in her life doing.

That early exposure to drugs and other challenges led to her suffering from addiction, but in this moving account she shares how the motivation to get her children back spurred her recovery.

She shared her story in order to promote the Women's Connect to Wellness and Recovery web site. It's an online resource for women who want to make a change with their substance use but are unsure how to start.
