This past July, HHSA joined its partners - the Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council and the Parent Leadership Advisory Group - for the annual Family Reunification Celebration. It's an opportunity for the community to honor local parents who successfully got their kids back after overcoming struggles that led to them being referred to the child welfare system.

Danielle Norris was one of the mothers celebrating, and she shared her story with HHSA.

Danielle: "It was the worst day of my life to have my children removed, but it was also the best day of my life to learn I had help."
