Sundial Bridge to turn purple for Elder Abuse awareness alongside other events on June 12 06/12/2021

Published June 16, 2021

June is elder abuse awareness month and the City of Redding, Shining Care, and others are coming together Saturday, June 12, to do their part in shedding light to this issue.

For those that don’t know, Shining Care is a local non-profit that gives support, guidance, and assistance to at-risk, disabled adults.

In Shasta County alone, there were over 2,200 reported abuses in 2020 - which officials say is on the rise from 2019.
