Published November 6, 2020

Shasta County saw 87 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

Health officials say the latest spike is community-wide, which is why the county has moved into the most-restrictive purple tier.

The new restrictions take effect at midnight on Saturday, meaning that businesses have until Sunday to comply with the new rules.
