Shasta County reports 54th death, hits new high for ICU (scroll down past ICU capacity for story) 12/08/2020

Another 231 Shasta County residents have tested positive for the coronavirus, pushing the local case total past 6,000 since the start of the pandemic, health officials reported Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the county announced another death due to COVID-19. The patient was a man in his 70s. His death is the seventh reported in December and 54th overall among county residents due to the virus.
