Shasta County covid-19: County breaks another record for daily virus case numbers 11/17/2020

Shasta County public health officials announced a surge of new COVID-19 cases from Friday and Saturday.

There were 220 new cases Friday, the highest daily number of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.

Friday’s total beat Thursday’s previous daily record of 164 infections. Before that, the previous high was 141 infections, set on Nov. 6.
