Public Health urges people who attended large worship gathering to get tested 07-24-2020

Published July 29, 2020

A large worship gathering on July 22 drew criticism from both Shasta County Public Health and the City of Redding.

Wednesday night’s gathering took place under Sundial Bridge which packed people together, shoulder to shoulder.

“Everyone's outside and we're doing organized things like this church gathering,” said Ryan Kershner of Redding. “No one was social distancing.”

The lack of social distancing and masks caused concern for Public Health. People in the community also worried that an event like this could be a super spreader for COVID-19.
