North State coronavirus updates: Covid-19 kills 3 unvaccinated Shasta County residents 08/17/2021

COVID-19 case numbers are soaring in the North State in August.

Low vaccination rates and the highly-contagious delta variant are responsible for a new surge in contagious infections. Another variable is pandemic fatigue — people tired of pandemic restrictions dropping social distancing and masking practices.
