Local covid-19 numbers flat Sunday while blacks dying at higher rate statewide 04-20-2020

While there were no new Shasta County coronavirus cases for the third consecutive day Sunday, a new statewide report shows a disproportionate number of blacks are dying from the disease.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Shasta County remained at 26 on Sunday. There has not been a new case of coronavirus since Thursday and the number of people with the disease has only risen by two since April 12. Three people have died from coronavirus in Shasta County.
