Drive-through event at Redding Civic will mark elder abuse month 06-11-2020

June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month, and it’ll be observed by some events on Monday in Redding. As many as 1 in 10 older Americans are abused or neglected, and of those only 1 in 14 receive the attention of authorities. Shining Care, in collaboration with the Shasta County D.A.’s Office, Health and Human Services, Adult Protective Services and the RPD, will host a drive-through event at Redding Civic Auditorium on Monday from 7AM to 10PM, where people can pick up informational goodie bags and free window decals.
