Covid updates: Shasta County reports 30th death 10/21/2020

A 30th Shasta County resident has died due to the coronavirus, health officials announced Wednesday. The patient was a man in his 80s.

The county has reported 10 COVID-19 deaths in October, more than any other month. Overall, 15 of the deaths have taken place in people 80 or older.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases associated with the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and a Redding nursing home is on the decline, Shasta County Health Officer Dr. Karen Ramstrom said during a media briefing Wednesday.
