Covid-19 updates: Shasta health officials report 225 new cases over Christmas holiday 12/28/2020

On Monday, Shasta County public health officials reported 225 new COVID-19 cases over the Christmas holiday.

An estimated 344 Shasta County residents have active cases of the virus. Of those people, 46 are in Shasta County hospitals — six of whom are in the ICU.

Of the new cases, 76 were reported Wednesday, 73 on Thursday, 29 on Friday and 47 on Saturday.
