COVID-19 transmission continues to climb in Shasta County 07/20/2022

Two more Shasta County deaths by Covid have been reported in the past week. They were a man in his 70s and a woman in her 80s. The county’s high transmission case rate continues to climb, now at 205 per 100,000. Hospitalizations are also increasing, with 43 Covid patients currently in the hospital and 4 in the ICU. Travelers are strongly encouraged to wear masks while on public transportation. Information on testing, vaccinations and treatment can be found at shastaready.org.
