Covid-19: Shasta County reports 10 more deaths, shattering single-day record 01/06/2021

Shasta County health officials on Wednesday reported 10 new COVID-19 deaths — double the previous single-day high. That pushes the local death toll to 89 since the start of the pandemic, with 42 deaths reported since Dec. 1.

Those who died include the following: A woman in her 50s, five women in their 70s, two women in their 80s, a woman over age 89 and a man over age 89.
