Covid-19 is surging in Shasta County as hospitalizations hit new high 08/24/2021

Shasta County is in the midst of a COVID-19 surge. County health officials confirmed 175 new cases Monday and 91 people are hospitalized and 23 are in Intensive Care Unit beds.

The hospitalizations are a new high for the county after they had already set a new record over the weekend. This is the 3rd record high for hospitalizations in the last 7 days.
