Covid-19 in Shasta County: New vaccine clinics scheduled 03/08/2021

Thursday marks the first anniversary of the World Health Organization's (WHO) declaration of a global coronavirus pandemic.

In Shasta County, the first known case of the virus was detected on March 8, 2020. That's when a man in his 50s became the first resident diagnosed with COVID-19 after contracting the virus during travel. He'd recovered by March 17.
