County: Cottonwood rodeo to blame for delayed reopening in Shasta County 05-11-2020

Published May 12, 2020

Last weekend's controversial rodeo in Cottonwood has delayed the reopening of Shasta County after Gov. Gavin Newsom caught wind of it, officials announced Monday evening.

Shasta County Public Health officials slammed the event — which apparently also drew the attention of Good Morning America for its large crowd in spite of continued stay-home orders — and said it directly led to a delayed reopening for the county.
