Coronavirus updates: 13 die of COVID-19 in Shasta County even as spread slows 02/28/2022

Published March 2, 2022

Going into March, the outlook for COVID-19 in Shasta County is good after the state reported significant drops in outbreak during the last half of February.

Last week, hospitals saw significant drops in COVID patients numbers — down to levels not seen since the first week of January, early in the omicron upsurge. It was also the first week in at least six months that Shasta County Public Health reported no new deaths from COVID-19.
