Coronavirus update for the week of Aug. 24 08-26-2020

Shasta County public health officials announced on Wednesday they confirmed one new case of the coronavirus.

      Since the outbreak began, the county has reported 554 known virus cases, with 11 deaths.

The new patient, whose test was confirmed Tuesday, is a woman in her 20s, according to a Shasta County Health and Human Services report. The woman's case is still under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
