Published March 31, 2020

As of Tuesday morning, the number of Shasta County coronavirus patients is up to six, three more since Friday.

The latest patient, a woman in her 20s, is believed to have contracted the virus during out-of-state travel, public health officials confirmed Monday.

Shasta County Health and Human Services spokeswoman Kerri Schuette said the woman is in isolation at home and a communicable disease team is working to trace her contacts.
