Coronavirus live updates: What we know Friday about covid-19 in the North State 07-24-2020

Another person has died from coronavirus in Shasta County, bringing the death toll to eight, while another eight people have tested positive for the virus.

The latest person to die was a man in his 80s, the county said.

Of the eight latest people to test positive (for a total of 276 confirmed local cases), six had symptoms and two were asymptomatic, the county said.
