Coronavirus live updates: What we know about Tuesday about covid-19 in the North State 06-02-2020

Coronavirus cases rose over the weekend in six North State counties, according to data released Monday night.

In Butte County, the known cases grew from 44 on Friday to 51. Public health officials also announced the county's first death due to COVID-19. Without disclosing the person's gender, they said the patient died in a hospital, was over 65 years old and had numerous underlying health conditions.
