Coronavirus live updates: What we know about covid-19 in the North State 06-18-2020

Shasta County health officials announced seven additional cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday, the most reported in a single day in the county since the outbreak began.

The increase brings the county's case total to 58.

Six of the seven cases confirmed Wednesday were connected to a case reported Sunday belonging to a man in his 20s who had recently attended a large family gathering, said Kerri Schuette, spokeswoman for the county's Health and Human Services Agency.
