Coronavirus live updates this week: Another death in Shasta County 08-07-2020

A tenth person has died as a result of the coronavirus in Shasta County, according to health officials.

The patient was a man in his 70s, according to a report issued Friday afternoon by Shasta County Public Health.

The same report said health workers confirmed another seven new cases of the virus since Thursday. Of the new patients, four were asymptomatic. None are hospitalized.
