Coronavirus in Shasta County: Covid kills 8 more people, 50 deaths reported since Oct. 1 10/19/2021

COVID cases and hospitalizations for the virus have been slowly dropping in October in Shasta County after the virulent Delta variant caused a spike in outbreak over the past ten weeks.

In September, more than 4,000 cases were reported — about a fifth of the cases public health tracked in the county since in March, 2020.
