Butte and Shasta Counties both report additional coronavirus death 07-08-2020

Shasta County has reported one new coronavirus death, the second this week. The person who died was a man in his 80s.

This is the sixth person to die due to COVID-19 in the county.

Health officials say eight new cases were also confirmed, with six showing symptoms. They are a boy under 13, a girl under 13, a man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s, a man in his 40s, two women in their 40s, and a woman in her 80s.

15,021 people have been tested.
