43 covid-19 cases reported by 13 schools across Shasta County 10/06/2020

Published October 8, 2020

As of Tuesday morning, the number of coronavirus cases at elementary through high schools in Shasta County has risen to 43, according to the Health and Human Services Agency.

"There have been 13 schools affected and it's usually just one or two cases at each school," said Kerri Schuette, program manager at Shasta County Health and Human Services. "The schools have, for the most part, been really great about quickly identifying cases, following the protocols for isolation and quarantine and letting families know."
