4 covid-19 deaths in Shasta County, new single day record for cases 12/09/2020

COVID-19 has claimed another 4 lives in Shasta County for a death toll of 58. They were two men and a woman over age 89 and a man in his 80’s. A single day record was set with Wednesday’s 240 additional cases, bringing the total so far of 6,375. An estimated 807 Shasta County residents have the virus right now, with 46 of them in the hospital and 13 in the ICU. Thousands of people are under quarantine orders due to possible exposure.
