27 new cases reported in Shasta County 09/23/2020

Shasta County reported 27 new Coronavirus cases on Wednesday for a total of 751 with 14 deaths. 24 of the new patients reported symptoms. There are currently 67 active cases, and 6 people are hospitalized. 3 are in intensive care. 194 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. The recent surge in cases has pushed the counties case rate up from 1.4 to 2.2 daily cases per 100,000 residents, and the positivity rate increased from 1.7 to 2.4 percent.
