20 covid-19 deaths reported in North State Wednesday 09/29/2021

Shasta County reported eight COVID-19 new deaths on Wednesday, according to Shasta County Health and Human Service.

Health officials said it was a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 60s, and a woman over the age of 89 who died from the virus. They said three men in their 70s and two men in their 80s died.

Officials added the people who died had underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, smoking, high blood pressure and asthma.

The vaccination status of the people is unknown at this time.

There have been 299 deaths for the coronavirus in Shasta County.
