114 new cases of covid-19 confirmed in Shasta County 12/02/2020

Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) confirmed 114 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Tuesday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the county to 5,187.

According to HHSA, an estimated 489 residents are actively infected with the virus with an estimated 436 in isolation and "thousands" in quarantine.

HHSA says 53 residents are currently hospitalized with nine receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
