COOLING CENTERS

Shasta County works in partnership with PG&E to open Cooling Centers. 

No Cooling Centers are currently open in Shasta County.
Each time a center opens, this webpage is updated with locations and dates. A press release is sent to media, and details are also posted on Facebook @shastahhsa.

Health and Human Services Agency clients receiving county services who need transportation to a cooling center can contact their individual branch for bus passes.

If you are concerned about the safety and well-being of elderly or dependent adult in Shasta County, please contact Adult Protective Services (APS) at 225-5798. APS may be able to assist by conducting a wellness check and ensuring their safety during extreme heat events.
