Mail Center

Shasta County Opportunity Center - Mail CenterThe Opportunity Center manages the mail center for Shasta County and the local Cal Trans office. This includes picking up mail daily from the Post Office, sorting and delivering mail several times daily both in-house and to offsite locations, receiving and delivering packages, maintaining the company's postage meter, maintaining supplies for employees' mailing needs, and delivering mail to the Post Office at the end of each day. In 2003, we handled well over 1,000,000 pieces of mail for Shasta County alone. We can design your mail center to meet your specific needs with lower costs and fewer headaches than if you staffed your own mailroom with your own employees.

Business Feature:

The Opportunity Center runs the Mail Center for the local Cal Trans District 2 office with one instructor and four people with disabilities. In addition to the services mentioned above, they also create and maintain District mailing labels, stock a nearby supply closet and re-order supplies as needed, and scan and clip newspaper articles for Cal Trans.
