Upcoming special election on November 5, 2019

Published October 17, 2019

On November 5, 2019, Shasta County and nine other California counties will participate in a special election for California State Assembly District One.  This office was left vacant after the former Assemblyman successfully ran for a position in the State Senate.

In the August 2019 special primary election, voters narrowed the race down to two candidates: Elizabeth Betancourt and Megan Dahle.  Betancourt and Dahle will now face off on November 5, 2019 at a special general election.
