Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems

Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems

Shasta County has drafted a Local Agency Management Program (LAMP) for Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS). The Board of Supervisors granted approval in July 2017 and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board approved it in October 2017.

A permit is required prior to the installation of a new or replacement septic tank and leach field. A permit application must be submitted along with a complete site plan, fees, and soil test data.
