Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems

Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems

On August 12, 2019 Shasta County Environmental Health Division implemented the revised Local Agency Management Program (LAMP) for Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS). The revised LAMP and OWTS Standards provide greater flexibility for home owners, developers and OWTS installers when compared to the original LAMP approved in July 2017.

A permit is required prior to the installation of a new or replacement septic tank and leach field. A permit application must be submitted along with a complete site plan, fees, and soil test data.
